Featuring the Founding Members of Liquid Blue
Out of the Blue is a musical duo performing classic rock hits & deep album cuts from the 2nd half of the 20th century (1950s through the 1990s). The performers include Scott Stephens (vocals) and Michael Vangerov (guitar), original members of the international recording and touring act, Liquid Blue.
These nomadic rockers have performed in 30 countries as a duo and over 100 countries as members of Liquid Blue. During the Liquid Blue years, they released 16 albums including the highly acclaimed “Supernova” (all originals) and the appropriately titled hit song, Earth Passport.
Scott has rocked’ and rolled’ his way around the world! His multifaceted career includes fronting Liquid Blue, pro Roller Derby skater with the L.A. T-Birds, founding a rock magazine, operating a successful insurance agency, real estate investor, bestselling author, hit songwriter, lifeguard, and Guinness World Record holder. This avid bodysurfer actively manages three companies: Liquid Blue, Ocean Blue, and Planet Blue while splitting his time between California & Costa Rica.
As the lead guitarist of Liquid Blue from 1996 to 2015, Vangerov lived his dream of traveling the world while playing music. In addition to his duties on guitar, he was also the head sound tech for Liquid Blue and has expanded that role today with the forming of his sound company, Vantastic Sound. His first band, Electric Warrior, also featured Stephens as the lead vocalist. The two have performed together since 1976!
